Basic business ethics

Course overview

Have you and a colleague ever argued or clashed about a difference in beliefs, values or ethics? Ethics and moral principles affect the way we behave in the workplace and can impact those around us in many ways. In this SAQA-aligned course, you will learn what beliefs, values and ethics mean, what business ethics is and what ethical guidelines or principles organisations set out to govern and promote ethical actions of their employees in the workplace.

• Reflect on own values and belief systems and how they influence own behaviour.
• Discuss how an individual’s ethics impact on the people around him/her.
• Explain how an individual can behave ethically in a business environment.
